Dementia Caregivers Supported By Three Wise Women

I saw a great press release recently from Cheryl A. Kuba, who listed the "Twelve New Year's Resolutions For Desperate Caregivers". Among the 12 suggestions, Cheryl included items like "savor the silliness" and "don't argue". Cheryl is a Gerontologist, author and speaker who recently wrote a book called, Navigating The Journey Of Aging Parents: What Care Receivers Want. Her book is available on Amazon or on her website. Lots of good info there and be sure to check out her whole press release on PR Web. Cheryl's timely press release made me look into her website and reminded me of two other noteworthy women who I crossed paths with in 2006. Carol Bradley Bursack is an author, speaker and columnist who writes weekly for In Forum Newspaper in North Dakota. You need to get her book called, Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories, from Amazon or Barnes & Noble. She has a great website as well and is a nice person to boot. I came across Cindy Keith's website this year and found some interesting information. Cindy is a dementia speaker and consultant from Pennsylvania who talks about "Mind In Memory Care". By going to the websites of Cheryl Kuba, Carol Bradley Bursack and Cindy Keith, you can also connect to their blogs, which are fun to read. Speaking of blogs, I have really come to enjoy working on mine and reading others this year. My goal for next year is to post more frequently, but shorter posts. Keep me honest please!
