Dementia Information

Makes sense. Natural light is good for so many things.

Linda Redhair

I agree with the idea of exposure to bright light. What I chose to do was to use Reveal light bulbs as they simulate natural light and it has helped decrease sun downing.
We have also experimented with the color lime green. Dementia patients seem to see this color the best. We intiated painting walkers lime green for patients aways forgetting to use their walkers. After doing this, more patients were using their walkers more frequently.

Hi Linda: So glad to hear about your use of the Reveal bulbs. Haven't seen the studies yet but will present them when I do.

Love your idea about the lime green walkers--genius!

Thanks for writing!
